Padmanaban (Paddy) is a management professional with over 35 years of rich experience in several leadership positions across diverse industries like consumer durables, telecom service, automotive and higher education.
After gaining solid ground level experience FMCD marketing and distribution during the first decade of his career with organizations like Blue Star Ltd, BPL-Sanyo and Tata-AT&T, he joined the fledgling telecom industry in the mid -nineties. Starting with setting up Paging service operations, he moved on to GSM cellular, CDMA Mobile and Fixed line service with the responsibility of roll out of network and launch of commercial operations in circles like TN, Kerala, UP, Uttarakhand with leading groups like RPG, Tata and Essar. He honed his skills on concept selling, customer acquisition/management strategies, solution selling to business customers and growth of market share and profitability. He also pioneered the vehicle tracking solutions for fleet management operators when he was the CEO of Ashok Leyland Telematics.
In 2012, he moved as Director- career service of ISB (Hyderabad and Mohali), where he scaled up student placement operations manifold as the challenge was to place over 800 MBA grads with prior work-ex. Besides increased outreach activities and career planning exercise for students, he led several initiatives in alliances and partnerships.
